TRACK IS OPEN FOR PRACTICE UNTIL DRIVERS MEETING ON RACE DAYS EXCEPT SATURDAY - TRACK OPEN FOR PRACTICE ON SATURDAY AFTER RACES CONCLUDE.

Practice is one car on the track at a time and is allowed for all full time members and associate members that are planning to do all membership duties  9:00am - dusk Monday - Saturday, Sunday Noon- dusk with the exception of Rookie training dates, race days when sign-ins close & days track is closed for the big track.  Let Amy know you are practicing for insurance reasons.  You can text her at 269-330-2765 or Facebook message.

FRIDAY RACE FORMAT

Sign-ins: 5:45pm-6:30pm

Drivers Meeting: 7:15pm

Races begin: 7:30pm Heats & Features - time limits on all races

Rookie open practice 9:00am-10:00am

Sign-ins:  9:00am-10:00am

RAIN DATE IS SUNDAY FOR FRIDAY & SATURDAY RACES UNLESS VOTED UPON TO RUN DOUBLE FEATURES ON SATURDAY. 

IF BOTH DAYS RAIN OUT THEN SUNDAY WILL BE DOUBLE FEATURES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF IF SUNDAY RAINS OUT THERE IS ONE RE-SCHEDULE FOR . 

ANY RAINED OUT RACE DRIVERS THAT DID NOT RACE BUT SIGNED IN WILL BE AWARDED 54 POINTS.  EX. JR HONDA RACES THEY WILL GET FINISH POINTS BUT SR HONDA DID NOT THEN THE SIGNED IN DRIVERS WILL ALL GET 54 POINTS.

1ST THRU 3RD IN POINTS OF EACH SERIES WILL BE AWARDED TROPHIES AT THE YEAR END BANQUET.

LKS or LKS ASSOCIATE MEMBERS ONLY WILL BE INCLUDED IN POINTS AT THE MIDWEST THUNDER - ALL OTHER RACES ALL POSITIONS WILL BE INCLUDED.

Example:  1st LKS member finishes 4th they receive 1st place points, 2nd LKS member finishes 7th they receive 2nd place points. 3rd LKS member finishes 2nd B Main they receive 3rd place points. 4th LKS member finishes 4th D Main they receive 4th place points and so on. 

YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OR ASSOCIATE MEMBER OF LKS TO EARN YEAR END TROPHIES.

SATURDAY POINTS SERIES WILL COUNT  8 of 10

COMBO SERIES - MUST RUN 7 OF 8 RACES - COUNT 5 FOR POINTS - CHAMPIONS AWARDED AT BANQUET - 2ND & 3RD AWARDS AS WELL AS PARTICIAPTION AWARDS FOR ROOKIES - CAN COMBINE DATES IF MOVE UP THROUGHOUT SEASON.

YOU MUST RUN AT LEAST 50% OF THE RACE DATES TO QUALIFY FOR YEAR END CLUB AWARDS. (8 races)

YOU MUST RUN THE MINIMUM RACES FOR EACH POINT SERIES TO QUALIFY FOR TOP THREE TROPHY OR CHAMPIONSHIP 

Meatball flag:  allow raceceiver to be switched to retain spot only if new one works otherwise will get a strike & go to tail with the 5 lap courtesy rule if the caution was  thrown for you along with the meatball flag.

Late out rule is same as MWT & National as long as down and rolling will be allowed out before leader is at start finish line on one to go.

Class size will remain 12 car A Main field for 2024 season if only 12 cars otherwise will run lower main and have 10 cars.

Any driver that is deemed intentionally causing a caution can be considreed unsportmanlike conduct per USAC rule book.

An engine DQ from tech can not be used as a drop along with tires & fuel and will incur the USAC suspension as well.

Red Rookie will not be charged a dot violation unless they advance their postion.  Red rookie must run locked.

All in-car video cameras will be allowed if securely mounted within the roll cage or downtubes on the right side of the driver and behind the centerline of the helmet. Both the mount & holder must be secure.

Fuel vent line must run out the left side of the car above the boom frame rail, but no more than 1" above belly pan must extend a minimum of 2" and be securely fastened.

 

MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES

OPENING DUTY MEMBERS ARE RESPONSIBLE TO HAVE THE TRACK OPEN, CLEAN & READY TO PRACTICE BEFORE DRIVERS MEETING!

Opening Duties

Sign-ins, Track & Hot Chute area blown off,  Flags put out at flag stand,  Turn power on for flag stand,

Hang Fire Extinquishers,  Put out yellow corner worker vests,  Put up Victory Lane sign, 

Garbage cans moved to postitions in parking lot and by concession stand & bleachers,                          

Open scale shed and take out items to make easier to go thru for scales & tech,

Closing Duties   

Closing items are just opposite of opening.   Put Garbage cans all together near end of hot chute, 

Pick up trash left around fence line, under bleachers & parking lot,  put away flag stand, have switch to off,

Put away fire extinquishers, corner worker vests,  Take down Victory Lane sign if not racing the next day.

Put everything back into the scale shed, lock the track gate, turn the power off for flag stand and for the track lights.
